About

Urban Plunge is a program for incoming freshmen to learn about the local communities surrounding Fordham. Over three days, students will work together on community engagement projects, explore diverse neighborhoods, and participate in group discussions about social justice. The program exposes students to the principles of a Jesuit education, encouraging students to seek a life beyond themselves, hone a bothered excellence, and work to be agents of change in their communities.

Urban Plunge is an incredible introduction to life at Fordham, teaching students how to be conscious neighbors to the communities surrounding the University by introducing them to local volunteer opportunities. It’s also a perfect opportunity to form strong connections with other Fordham students and to build a background in anti-racist education before beginning freshman year.
