Support Fordham's Study Abroad Programs
We are proud that Fordham ranks 2nd among New York Metro colleges for sending half our undergraduates on an international experience during their four years with us. These intercultural and international experiences fit within the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis to help our students to become more empathetic, well-rounded citizens of the world.

Your gift to the Study Abroad Fund will fund, among other things, scholarships to our short-term programs taught by New York City faculty. These unique experiences make study abroad more accessible for non-traditional students such as veterans, first-generation students, those studying STEM subjects and for our student athletes whose schedules make it hard from them to gp abroad for a semester. These briefer travel opportunities are often 7-10 day experiences over spring break or summer term which supplement a professor's New York-based curriculum.

Although incredibly enriching, these short-term programs are not supported by financial aid. Therefore, they are out of reach for many of the very students for whom they would be most meaningful. Your support would truly make a life-changing difference.

Although the COVID-19 global pandemic has put a temporary halt on international travel, our Study Abroad team is working hard to expand opportunities for our students and have set up international virtual internships. This however, also comes with a financial challenge. The administrative fees for working with our international partners are more than $1,500 per student. A gift to support these efforts will help support our students in this current challenging year.

While we are proud of how international education impacts our students' Fordham experience, we must continue to make it more accessible to those with financial hardships. During these challenging times, your gift to study abroad will go far.
