Global Outreach focuses on immersion-based projects that allow students to directly connect with communities in the United States and around the world while learning about systems of inequality and focusing on anti-oppression and anti-racism work. The mission of Global Outreach is to engage with, be challenged by, and further evolve Fordham’s global partnership. Through these relationships, students seek to understand and wrestle with social justice, solidarity, spirituality, and their Jesuit education.
In March 2023, a group of Fordham students will travel to Honduras to collaborate with the Olancho Aid Foundation. This partnership between Fordham University and Olancho Aid will offer a cultural immersion experience where students will explore social justice, solidarity, and spirituality as they engage in cross-cultural dialogue and various events. It will support Olancho Aid’s efforts to enhance educational opportunities for both Honduran students and international visitors.
