Global Outreach is a service and cultural immersion program rooted in social justice awareness and community engagement. Projects foster an ongoing commitment to sustainable relationships, anti-racism, solidarity, environmentalism and sustainability, community engagement, global citizenship, cultural exchange, education, and multiculturalism. The mission of Global Outreach is to engage with, be challenged by, and further evolve Fordham’s global partnerships. Through these relationships, students understand and wrestle with social justice, solidarity, spirituality, and their Jesuit education.
The Bronx Immigration Project is working to address direct needs of the community through three donation drives. A clothing drive targeting women and children in need of winter clothes, a food drive that corresponds with increased need for Thanksgiving weekend, and a toy drive to support families during the holiday season. Our team is learning about the daily struggles of immigrant families living in New York. We are learning from organizations in the Bronx that work to address daily needs and make lasting structural changes in immigration policy. Your donation will help us to support these drives which in turn will have a positive impact on the daily lives of people in need in New York City. We as students of Fordham University are surrounded and supported by the New York community in so many ways. Through our learning efforts and our three donation drives, we are trying to support the community that supports us. Please help us to make a difference in our community! Thank you for your support!
