This year the Gaelic Society started its very own Gaelic Football Team. Every Tuesday and Thursday, members of the Gaelic Society gather on Coffey field to take part in practices run by their fellow students. The goal is to play games against other schools in the NCGAA, including Notre Dame, UConn, St. Joes, Navy and many more. However, for many students it is not easy to pay for travel. With our fundraising goal of $5,000 we hope to make travel possible for the team. These funds would also be used to buy Hurling equipment so that Fordham can give students all that GAA has to offer and compete against the large group of NCGAA Hurling schools. Anything left over would be spent on promoting Irish Cultural events such as our trip to Ellis Island, Aeriocht, and Irish Movie Nights. So, please consider donating to our cause to promote Irish Sport and Culture among Fordham’s student body!
