Global Outreach (GO!) is a Fordham University program offered through its Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL). Each GO! project focuses on service and immersion based learning through the lens of solidarity, fostering spirituality, and engaging issues of poverty and injustice, while connecting local and global realities within the Ignatian tradition.
In June of 2020, a group of Fordham alumni will head to Aberdeen, MS, to work with Camp Friendship, one of Fordham’s long-standing community engaged learning partners. We’ll serve and learn as camp counselors to young children, most of whom are in foster care.
Camp Friendship runs on love, fun, high energy, plenty of breakfast cereal, and many other important items. The purpose of this campaign, “Operation Et Cetera,” is to support raise money to help defray the costs of daily camp expenses, which range from camper meals (yes, carrots included), kitchen supplies, games (Four Square is a favorite), and sports equipment, to local utilities and maintenance on the Camp’s yellow school bus. Donations go directly to the camp - none are used to offset the cost of our alumni team members (they pay for themselves). Your donation is much appreciated.
Thank you for helping to support this meaningful experience for Fordham alumni and the great Mississippi kids who we will get to know and love.
No updates for this campaign.
